Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise The Pier Inn's prime location right by the harbour, with some rooms offering excellent views of the Abbey or overlooking the hive of activity on the water. Many appreciate being just a short, flat walk away from the town centre and the train/bus station. The availability of food and drink discounts for guests is a noted bonus, and while some have mentioned the potential for noise from the bar downstairs, many find the entertainment adds to the atmosphere, with fish and chips and breakfast being delicious. Room 11 is spacious and modern, with a continental/full breakfast offered which is freshly cooked, though some have mentioned the stairs being a little steep.

good breakfastviolent bangingnight duty
The breakfast was good. The location was great as it was right on the harbor front.
I was informed live music would occur both nights of my stay. Payment had already been taken before I arrived. It went on for about an hour. No one was on night duty, so I feel the hotel has a duty of care to its guests. The situation was frightening.

great locationgood viewmarine experienceloud musicthreatening bouncerfloorboard vibration
The location was great for exploring. It was directly opposite the Marine Discovery Experience. I also had a good view of the Abbey from my window (it was quite excellent!).
The music was very loud from the band downstairs at 11:30 PM. It vibrated the floorboards even two stories up. A bouncer was threatening towards my friends because they asked politely if the music could be turned down.
